As a recognized Statewide public education advocate, experienced CUSD board member and parent, long-time Coastside community member, and former biotech industry directorSophia brings the skills and track record of collaborative leadership, evidence-based decision-making, and advocacy to help our school community achieve its short- and long-term goals.

Strengthening collaboration across our school district community and continue to advocate externally for the systemic changes we need

so that we can improve

teacher and staff recruitment and retention, student academic achievement and supports, and sustainability across fiscal, human, and environmental resources.

Sophia has the strong working relationships with trusted leaders (e.g., National, State, and Local elected officials) and the broad diversity of community leaders and families (e.g., representing students who have been historically underserved by public schools) needed to make progress for all students and our community as a whole.
